Visit the Electronic Village and Technology Showcase at TESOL 2017

Have you been to the Electronic Village and Technology Showcase at the TESOL International Convention & English Language Expo? It is a fantastic way to learn a lot of information in a very short time. People present their topics, which are computer and technology based, in short segments and small groups.

As a result, you can easily ask questions, have conversations with the audience, and have a hands-on experience. You can learn about multimedia in the classroom, Internet-based resources, hardware for teachers, mobile technology devices, applications, and more.

If you have been sitting in presentations for a while, the Electronic Village provides a good break. You can stand to watch the presenter, and since all the presentations are located in the same room, you can move from presentation to presentation easily. The fact that the presentations are short  is helpful, too.

The Electronic Village is hosted by TESOL and the Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) Interest Section. Last year, presenters introduced new apps, computer programs that help with face-to-face language instruction, and information about how people use technology for online instruction. It was a wonderful learning experience.

See you at TESOL 2017 in Seattle, Washington!
